HEDI® Shea Butter E/DU is a unique water-based dispersion of shea butter with dimethicone, urea, and vitamin E. Dimethicone is a skin protectant when formulated at levels of 5% or greater, while urea provides humectancy and helps to condition the skin. Vitamin E shields the skin from oxidation and free radicals. The water-based dispersion augments the aesthetics of HEDI® Shea Butter E/DU, helping to create elegantly luxurious yet highly functional, performance-based finished products for skin and hair. HEDI® Shea Butter E/DU is a light, sprayable milk-like liquid with outstanding feel characteristics.

HEDI® technology enhances the performance of HEDI® Shea Butter E/DU to allow easy incorporation in cosmetic formulations compared to traditional shea butter. HEDI® Shea Butter E/DU is pourable and dispersible in water with agitation or shear-mixing. Notably, HEDI® Shea Butter E/DU can be cold mixed or added at temperatures up to 50°C without high-temperature processing during formulation. HEDI® Shea Butter E/DU is the perfect vehicle to facilitate the use of this ingredient in cosmetic formulas with optimized stability and bio-availability on the skin.
